Summary (short)

What data the App accesses and why

The App only accesses the data required to provide its features. All SMS content and message management happens on-device unless you explicitly use the optional backup/restore file picker to export or import files.

Device data & permissions

PermissionWhy it is needed
READ_SMS, RECEIVE_SMSTo read and show SMS messages in the app, categorize messages (Personal, Transaction, OTPs, Offers, Group), and receive incoming messages.
SEND_SMSTo allow scheduled messages and sending SMS from within the app (user-initiated).
WRITE_SMSTo mark messages as read or to modify SMS if the app is set as the default SMS handler. This permission is only used when appropriate by Android rules.
READ_CONTACTSTo display contact names instead of raw phone numbers and provide better context in message threads.
READ_PHONE_STATEUsed for handling dual-SIM and phone state behavior where required by the platform (e.g., sending SMS selecting SIM).
POST_NOTIFICATIONSTo post notifications for incoming messages, scheduled messages, and restore/backup status (Android 13+).
SCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARMTo schedule timed messages with accurate delivery times.
INTERNET, ACCESS_NETWORK_STATEUsed only for contacting Firebase services (Crashlytics, Analytics, Remote Config). The App does not use these permissions to sync your messages or upload SMS content.

Is my SMS content uploaded to servers?

No. SMS messages remain on your device. The App does not upload or store your SMS content on any server. The only network activity is related to Firebase services listed below (crash reports, analytics, and remote config) and the optional user-initiated backup/restore flow which uses the Storage Access Framework (SAF) to read/write files selected by the user.

Third-party services we use

The App uses the following third-party services that may collect limited diagnostic or analytics data. These services are used for improving stability, delivering remote configuration values, and understanding anonymous usage trends only.

These services are managed by Google. If you require more details about data handling by these services, please review the links above.

Backups and the Storage Access Framework (SAF)

If you explicitly choose to backup or restore messages, the App will open a folder/file picker (SAF) and read/write files only inside the location you select. The App will never upload backups to a server automatically. The backup files are created and read only when you choose them. Make sure to store backup files securely.

Data retention & deletion

The App keeps data only on your device. Crash and analytics reports sent to Firebase are retained according to Firebase's policies. For local data (messages stored on device), deletion is controlled by you (archive/delete/unread/star) and by the App's settings such as OTP auto-delete.

User choices & controls

Children and age restrictions

This App is intended for users aged 18 and above. The App may display or process SMS messages that contain content unsuitable for children. If you are under 18, please do not use this App.

Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect data on your device and minimize unauthorized access. This includes following platform best practices and using secure libraries. However, no app or system is perfectly secure — please secure your device with a lock screen and backup files in secure locations.

Legal & compliance

By using the App you agree to the terms described here. This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time — the latest version will be shown on this page. If you have specific legal concerns, please contact the developer at naimishtrivedi7@gmail.com.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy occasionally. We will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this document. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
